LOS ANGELES, Calif. (March 3, 2017) — Emerging alternative band Tribe Society release their 10-track mixtape, We Sell Drugs, today via Lokal Legend. Self-produced alongside Tiago Carvalho (Rihanna, Elijah Blake, James Arthur) and StreetRacer, We Sell Drugs blends Tribe Society’s signature stomping rock melodies with heavy urban influences. The mixtape includes stoner anthem “Smoke Out the Window” and “Secrets”, which was featured on Spotify’s New Music Friday and New Noise playlists. We Sell Drugs is available everywhere today.

We Sell Drugs started as an experimental project. We wanted to make music that would transcend multiple genres, so we started to blend hip-hop beats and pop notes with our rock melodies,” said Tribe Society. “Lyrically, We Sell Drugs captures our personal highs and lows while giving us a platform to speak against the injustice we see in the world.”

We Sell Drugs Tracklist:

  1. Nu Vibe
  2. Lonely People
  3. Smoke Out the Window

We Sell Drugs is Tribe Society’s first release since their Lucid Dreams EP in 2015, which features their hit “Kings”. Billboard previously praised Tribe Society for having “such a strong, creative energy with a taste of hip-hop, rock ‘n’ roll and of course, that flute.” Huffington Post later called the band “powerful … intoxicating, even.”

Tribe Society will embark on a national tour this summer. The New York City-based band previously shared the stage with The 1975, Twenty One Pilots, X Ambassadors, Family of the Year, Collective Soul and many more. Summer 2017 tour dates are to be announced.

Hailing from New York City, Tribe Society orchestrates the perfect blend of indie and alternative rock with infectious hip hop undertones. The quartet composed of Gavin McDevitt (vocals, guitar), Seth Hachen (flute, keyboard), Brad Alderman (keyboard) and Phil Boucher (drums) quickly gained attention after their 2015 mixtape Delirium Sonata. Tribe Society has since toured internationally and released their Lucid Dreams EP, racking over 8 million streams.
