March 14, 2017 Saturday night, rock n roll legends Blue Öyster Cult returned the Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma, WA to perform a sold out show at the Tacoma Showroom.
Blue Öyster Cult was recently in the Seattle area in January when they performed at the Everett Historic Theatre. It was great to see that the demand from fans was high for the Emerald Queen Casino show since it was just less than two months that they were in town. The band also played to a sold out crowd at the same EQC venue last year in 2016.
The show had a minor delay to the start time due to the overwhelming number of fans trying to get into the venue. But after just a short delay of about 15 minutes the show was in full swing. The guys rocked the crowd and the fans loved every minute of it and you could tell by the audience response when fan favorite songs were playing. The setlist for this show changed from the last time the guys were in town and it’s always awesome to hear them mix it up and play songs you didn’t hear the last time.
Blue Öyster Cult is touring the USA throughout 2017 and hitting the European festival circuit in the summer so you have plenty of chances to catch the guys on tour. They will even be back in the Northwest USA during summer, they have a July show near Portland, OR and a show in Montana in August, so if you are in the NW and you don’t mind a road trip you can still catch them this summer. As always, you can find all of the BÖC tour dates on their website here.
I also had the chance to sit down and chat with bassist, Kasim Sulton while they were in town. You can check out the interview here.
