Fort Rock is a 2 day weekend festival in Fort Myers, Florida that’s packed full of fun and music. This year’s festival was held at JetBlue Park.  If you love live rock music, festivals and the outdoors then you will definitely enjoy Fort Rock.

This years Fort Rock line up was:

Day 1:
Def Leppard, Chevelle, Seether, Papa Roach, Alter Bridge, Three Days Grace, In This Moment, Of Mice & Men, Motionless in White, Nothing More, Beartooth, Cover Your Tracks and Felicity.

Day 2:
Soundgarden, A Perfect Circle, The Offspring, Mastadon, Highly Suspect, The Pretty Reckless, In Flames, Eagles of Death Metal, All That Remains, -Starset-, I Prevail, Dinosaur Pile Up and Goodbye Jane.

As media, I arrived and picked up my credentials, then set off to get the layout of the festival area down then made my way to the media tent. The media tent was super helpful in my opinion. Festival organizers supplied us with a great work area that included worktables and WiFi to set up our gear so we could work between artist performances. All the staff who worked in the tent, outside or just anywhere throughout the park were very helpful and friendly. So I want to give a shout out to the organizers at Fort Rock and Danny Wimmer Presents for providing this space for us and a team of staff that rocked.

So what about Fort Rock for the fans? Well DWP does a spectacular job with planning their festivals, Fort Rock being just one of the many festivals they put on every year across the USA.  Fort Rock is one of the early festivals in the season, so I’d say it’s a kick off to summer show.  The DWP organization spends countless hours each year booking amazing artists to perform, working with great partners to provide fan experiences throughout the festival grounds and is always tweaking each festival to make each year even better for the fans.

At Fort Rock there were opportunities to meet many of the bands with a purchase of 1 of the bands merchandise items, which was pretty cool to many of the fans in attendance.  Concession stands, tents to buy merchandise or many other cool items were strategically placed all around JetBlue Park for great access.  Fort Rock even supplied a tent specifically to hand out free Monster Energy drinks to all of the concert goers when they needed to take a moment to cool off.

The set up for each band was absolutely fantastic.  Each band and their members performed phenomenal sets that made the fans fill the park with cheers and high energy throughout the weekend event. The sound was great and everything was perfectly in sync during the festival, including the weather!  I could not of been anymore impressed at the end of Fort Rock. I would do this all again, it was so much fun.  This was such a great time, I would suggest to all of the music fans in and around Florida and even those willing to travel to make a plan to go to next year!  If you can’t make it to Florida, make sure to check out Danny Wimmer Presents for a list of all the amazing festivals they put on, there’s sure to be one near you.

Check out the show through our photo coverage below, we weren’t able get photo coverage of every band on the lineup, but please enjoy the ones we did.
