Gothenburg, Sweden has sent listeners a new metal album by way of Air Raid with their release of Across the Line.

Dueling twin guitar riffs in “Aiming for the Sky” will have you thrust back into the late 80’s to early 90’s metal era.  Classic metal riffs are constantly flowing through this track as well as the rest of the album.  Paired with killer vocals from Fredrik Werner, he’s got that perfect gritty tone in his vocals that explodes as he hits the higher notes. You will easily find yourself wondering how you are just now coming across this metal band.

When you reach “Entering the Zone Zero” you get a full instrumental track that showcases the performance skills from the band that has lots of quick finger work as the guitars rip through their riffs supported by strong bass and uptempo percussions.  It’s a nice display of the musical skills of each member of the band.

“Hell and Back” sound very familiar to me, I am not sure why but I feel as if I have heard this before or something very close to it.  I want to say it was something I heard at a Diamond Head show this past year, or maybe it was a festival but it’s such a familiar tune.

This album does not slow down, it’s rages and wails the entire way through.  You will also get a small blow of air raid sirens during “Raid or Die”.  Then the album wraps up with “Black Dawn”.  This was a really great listening experience for me.  I can’t wait to see what Air Raid does next!
