Chick fronted Butcher Babies just released their second single off of the upcoming Lilith album set to release on October 27th via Century Media Records.

A follow up to the first single “Lilith”, the new single “Pomona (Shit Happens)” is a 3 minute and 13 second verbal assault done right by front-women Carla Harvey and Heidi Shepherd. The ladies come out swinging with their always crazy vocals that are a mix between growling and screaming with soft harmonizing feminine undertones to make them appear just a little vulnerable but don’t be mistaken, these badass chicks are no delicate flowers. Just listen to their lyrics and you will discover they aren’t playing around when it comes to performing their metal assault. Paired with insane and manic bass beats, demanding guitar riffs and rapid fire drums, this song is going to please your inner rage.

On this latest album, they explore the Lady Bathory tale as well as ageism that is rampant in our world today and the lengths people will go to in order to preserve their youth and beauty.  The always present societal pressures to always look perfect. Something they are presented with every day being beautiful women who front a metal band.  Luckily for fans, these ladies don’t just possess skin deep beauty, but deep internal beauty as well. They stand up against bullies and aren’t afraid to speak up when people treat them poorly. Something deeply inspiring to myself and many other females who look up to them.

But it’s not only about the ladies.  These chicks are partnered with a musical assault from their amazing bandmates and fellow musicians Henry Flurry (guitar), Jason Klein (bass) and Chase Brickenden (drums). Butcher Babies proves time and time again that they are metal and they are here to stay.

Give this new single a spin, you’re going to love it!  Then get out during October and catch the Butcher Babies on tour with Hollywood Undead. Perfect timing to drop this new single!
