Local Seattle band, Oxygen Destroyer, released their long awaited full length album entitled  Bestial Manifestations of Malevolence and Death’. The albums lyrical concept is all about the monster movie legend Godzilla.

The album starts off with the intro song “Born Of Nuclear Energy”. The song starts with the sound of a missile attack and the cry of the jurassic legend Godzilla in the background.  For those who don’t know, Oxygen Destroyer was the name of the weapon that was used on Godzilla in the 1954 original movie.  So to hear that makes the album even more interesting and original.

The first song with instruments in it is entitled “Cleansing The Earth of Humanity’s Existence”.  As soon as the drums, guitar and bass kick in, all hell breaks loose.  With pummeling double bass and tremolo picking, the song will immediately make you want to start headbanging.  When the vocals of Jordan Farrow comes in to play, you can really hear a black metal influence.  The influence doesn’t seem to only be with the vocals as black metal styled riffs and hooks are thrown in throughout the album.  During many of the songs the sound may even remind you a bit gore grind legends Exhumed.  A lot of the songs on the album have samples from different Godzilla movies spanning most of the films.

Oxygen Destroyer put out a truly face pummeling album.  If you are a fan of extreme metal and love monster movies, this album is for you.  Each song on the album is relentless and unique.  Make sure to check out this album.

Oxygen Destroyer is:
Jordan Farrow – Guitar, Vocals
Joey Walker – Guitar
