Adam Ant Live At Woodland Park Zoo’s 2018 ZooTunes Concert Series – Adam Ant‘s ‘The Singles Tour; ANTHEMS’ started off on July 20th in Morristown, NJ and ended in Reno, NV on August 4th. This latest tour with a total of 10 cities, brought Adam Ant back to the Pacific Northwest last week for a show at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo as part of the 2018 ZooTunes Concert Series. On tour this year with Adam Ant were fellow British Rock Icons, The Fixx.
Last year we caught Adam Ant at the Revolution Hall in Portland, OR on his ‘Kings of the Wild Frontier Tour’ (see review here). This performance was a bit of a contrast compared to his last tour where the hit songs fans are familiar with had different musical arrangements to tie in with the other songs on the tour from his 1981 album ‘Kings of the Wild Frontier’ that was re-released in 2016 in a remastered box set.
This years show was held in the outdoor amphitheater with balmy temperatures and clear skies that started to set into evening as Adam Ant took the stage. Gone were the musical arrangements we enjoyed last year and back were the the traditional hit arrangements fans have loved over the years.
Fans were up on their feet from the moment Adam Ant took the stage during “Be My Guest” and they stayed on their feet singing along and dancing as the evening progressed through his hits “Friend or Foe”, “Desperate but Not Serious”, “Strip” and “Stand and Deliver”. Coming to the close of the evening, the show was wrapped up with the encore songs “Goody Two Shoes”, “Lady/Fall In”, “Red Scab” and “Physical (You’re So)”.
It was a great night out for all who came to enjoy the evening with Adam Ant and The Fixx. The one thing fans left show with certainty about, that Adam Ant is still an amazing performer who puts on a great live show.
Next up for Adam Ant is a performance at Kubix Festival on August 11th in Sunderland, England.
