Hard Rock Swedish style! That’s the feeling that I immediately felt spinning this self titled album by Battering Ram. This was truly an unexpected listening experience.

For only being together since 2017, their music feels like they could have been together much longer. The tracks are powerful and entertaining. The vocals caught me off guard and had me thinking that they sound a bit like Ralf Gyllenhammar of Mustasch, just a lighter version with a twist. The vocals aren’t as strong all the way through the album as I hoped they would be, but still quite good.

In contrast, the music on this album is consistently strong, powerful, and intense. It’s got that fist pumping feel that will have your fist raised and pumping in tempo and if you really feel it the rest of your body will be moving along in time.

The lyrics in many of the tracks are catchy and listeners will quickly be singing along.

For a debut album, Battering Ram didn’t just do a decent job, they crushed it! I am really impressed by the album and felt it to be a genuinely good rock album.

In summary: Just because you have never heard of this band before, does not mean you shouldn’t give them a try. This band is going to surprise many people. Favorite tracks: Coming My Way, The Sign, Wanted Man, Taking My Time

The Band:
Johan-vocals
Jocke-bass
Jonas- guitar
Tony- drums
