The Global Metal Mayhem Podcast, Episode #1

I am excited to announce the first episode of The Global Metal Mayhem Podcast! Hosted by me, Diane Webb.

Who am I for those of you who do not know? I am a music fanatic, writer, photographer, publicist and artist manager. I’ve seen and done a lot that is all related to music over my lifetime and if there’s one thing people can tell you about me, it is that I have a passion for music and am always talking about it!

I’ve been waiting for Spotify to finally work out a way to allow podcasts legally use their platform with music in their shows. Until now, people have done in a violation of their terms of service which has been a crap shoot as many shows were removed for this violation, so didn’t want to risk a take down and also couldn’t see doing any podcast that you can’t play music in since you’re talking about music! This week it finally became a reality to add music to podcasts on their platform and now was the perfect time to launch a new podcast where I get to talk about all the music I love, the metal culture, lifestyle, the music industry and anything else that comes up.

I threw together this first podcast on the fly to introduce myself and talk about music and let you know this show is happening. I’ve been in love with metal, hard rock and rock since my early teens and there’s a ton of music out there that you’ve either heard or never had a chance to hear. I listen to a wide variety of everything so I am likely to introduce you to some new music or old music that is new to you along the way and relate to you with my deep love of bands you dig too. Join me each week on Spotify as I discuss it all! I am also teaming up with DazedRockRadio.com to broadcast my weekly podcast on their station as another way to bring the show to you all.

For Spotify users, this is what I’ve found out about the new music addition to podcast on Spotify… If you have a free account, you will only get a 30 second play of each track featured in the podcast, but you will get the full conversation. If you have a paid Spotify account, you will get the full episode with all songs we feature in entirety.
