Join the YesterdazeNews Crew!

Do you have a passion for music, entertainment, and showcasing the amazing stories and experiences the Seattle metro area and Pacific Northwest have to offer? Are you always hunting for the next great album, local gig, or hidden gem? Do you dream of telling stories, capturing unforgettable live moments, or spotlighting all the incredible things to do in our vibrant region?

If this sounds like you, we’d love to have you on our team!

YesterdazeNews is growing, and we’re looking for passionate contributors who want to share their love for music, entertainment, and PNW culture. While these roles are currently volunteer-based as we build our revenue stream, they’re perfect for anyone who:

  • Loves to write, blog, or photograph live events.
  • Wants to connect with like-minded creatives.
  • Feels inspired to keep our local and global music scenes alive.
  • Wants to make a mark in the entertainment media world.

What We Cover
From music of all genres (rock, pop, metal, K-pop, country, Latin, Christian, and beyond) to local attractions, live events, film, and TV—there’s something for everyone here. While we’re Seattle-based, you don’t have to be!

Open Contributor Positions

Here’s where you can jump in and help us shine:

Album Reviewer

Do you love discovering new bands and albums? We need reviewers willing to explore everything from indie gems to big-name releases. We provide the music (mp3s), you provide honest, thoughtful reviews (300-word minimum). Love it or hate it, your opinion matters—just remember, music is art and subjective!

Writer

From feature stories to show reviews, band interviews, and news updates, this role is for anyone who loves to write. Whether you want to dive into long-form storytelling or quick news hits, we have a spot for you.

Photographer

Do you love telling stories through your lens? We’re looking for photographers with a passion for live music, events, and the vibrant scenes of the Pacific Northwest. Capture the energy of live performances, the excitement of festivals, or the hidden gems of Seattle and beyond. Previous live music photography experience is a plus, and access to professional-grade gear (like a fast lens, 2.8f or lower, and zoom capabilities for larger venues) is essential. If you’ve got a portfolio, we’d love to see it!

Video Journalist

Lights, camera, action! If you’re comfortable conducting video interviews with artists and creating engaging video content, we’d love to see your skills in action.
